Stainless Steel Fleet
Our fleet is built with stainless steel grades 304 and 316L, allowing us to transport a wide range of products with the highest standards of purity and safety. Grade 316L provides superior corrosion resistance for aggressive acids and solvents, making it essential for pharmaceutical products, concentrated acids, and high-purity chemicals.
Tank Trucks (Autotanques)

Chemical Products
TRESAL transports over 60 active chemical products including Class 3 (flammable liquids) and Class 8 (corrosive substances). Our stainless steel 304 tanks handle solvents, acetone, toluene, ethyl acetate, and styrene monomer. Our 316L tanks are dedicated to aggressive products such as caustic soda, glacial acetic acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, acetic anhydride, formic acid, and glycols.
Food-Grade Products
We transport food-grade bulk liquids including vinegar, apple cider vinegar, glycerin, oils, and purified water in food-grade stainless steel tank trucks. Our washing protocols and ISO 9001:2015 quality system ensure the purity standards required by the food industry.

Tank Truck Washing Centers
TRESAL operates two dedicated tank truck washing facilities — one in Mexico City (Cuautitlán Izcalli) and one in San Luis Potosí. Our cleaning centers handle interior washing of tank trucks following specific protocols based on the previous and next product to be transported, ensuring complete elimination of residues and contaminants. We also provide washing services for third-party units. Our washing processes are backed by our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Some units are certified for Kosher washing by KA Kosher (Vaad Hakashrut KA).
Tank Truck Washing — Technical Specifications
Open to the public — not exclusive to TRESAL fleet. We service third-party tank trucks.
CIP technology (Clean-In-Place) — closed-circuit washing with temperature-controlled fluid recirculation and high-pressure rotary sprinklers.
Chemical wash: for Class 3 (flammable) and Class 8 (corrosive) residues. Compatible with SS 304 and SS 316L tanks.
Food-grade wash: food-contact approved detergents and sanitizers. Final rinse with purified water.
Kosher wash and kosherization: thermal treatment at ≥200°F (93.33°C) for a minimum of 15 minutes under Vaad Hakashrut KA supervision. Temperature exceeds industry standard (180°F).
Passivation: restoration of the stainless steel passive layer to prevent corrosion and cross-contamination.
Certification: ISO 9001:2015 (NYCE cert. 2014CRE-440). Two centers: Cuautitlán Izcalli (Mexico City) and San Luis Potosí.

What types of liquid chemical products can you transport in bulk?
TRESAL transports over 60 bulk liquid chemical products, organized in three main categories: Class 3 products (flammable) such as acetone, toluene, ethyl acetate, hexane, methanol, styrene monomer and ethyl alcohol; Class 8 products (corrosive) such as caustic soda, glacial acetic acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, acetic anhydride, formic acid and potassium hydroxide; and general cargo products such as vinegar, glycerin, monoethylene glycol and diethylene glycol. We hold the annual SICT authorization for transporting chemical precursors and essential chemical products.
What is the difference between a 304 and 316L stainless steel tank truck?
304 stainless steel (sheet) is used for transporting solvents, food-grade products and low-aggressiveness chemicals such as acetone, toluene, ethyl acetate and styrene monomer. 316L stainless steel (plate, thicker construction) offers superior corrosion resistance and is used for highly aggressive products such as caustic soda, glacial acetic acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, acetic anhydride, formic acid and glycols. TRESAL operates both types to provide the right solution for each product.
